California's Battle With Donald Trump Heats Up
Governor Gavin Newsom is heading to Washington, D.C., to meet with the Trump administration in the aftermath of Southern California's deadly and destructive wildfires, while the president has threatened to investigate the state's high-speed rail project.

Why It Matters
After Southern California was hit in January with concurrent wildfires that took at least 29 lives, destroyed tens of thousands of structures and forced thousands to evacuate, Newsom and Donald Trump met following the president's inauguration. The president and first lady visited Los Angeles County, the site of the Palisades and Eaton fires, two of the deadliest and most devastating blazes.
 
During their meeting, Trump and Newsom thanked each other in a surprisingly friendly exchange after days of public disparagement and tense relations. Trump said he would help the fire-ravaged areas with aid if voter ID laws changed, along with water policies.

Newsom must be getting paranoid.  He must think Trump is going to look for fraud in the program.   Why should Newsom worry, he's done everything legally, I'm sure. *****rollingeyes*****

Oh this is a lot more than Noisome, this shit started in 1983 with Gov Moonbeam and a bill authorizing $1.25 billion. Then in 2008 with a moron public approved bond of almost $10 billion the graft moved into high gear. So that's Gov Moonbeam two terms at 8 years each, the RINO Goobernator  Ahhhhhnold and now Noisome. So since 1983 democrat governors and democrat controlled California government have been milking $11 billion dollars of taxpayer money with effectively nothing to show for it. So hll yeah audit the graft train and shine a bright light on the democrat cockroaches.

Like in Mass, I'm sure there is corruption, grift, scandal, and incompetence hiding under every rock like slugs.

A worst case sceanrio for Governor Greaseball is that Musk, DOGE, and his merry gaggle of nerds use AI to audit state records for Cali's Federal funds.  Look what they've done to USAID in two weeks.

Wrong priorities.
A lot of other problems in the state need to be addressed before the rail does.
I wonder how much his family/donors are making off of the rail?
