Without spending a nickel.

And now I read China wants to belly up to the negotiating table as well.

Perhaps some that continue to believe the threat of imposing tariffs is the wrong move will open their eyes

Trump has explicitly stated intentions to impose tariffs on Panama if the country does not manage the Panama Canal in a way he deems acceptable, particularly regarding the fees charged to U.S. ships.  But I don't have any quotes.

Sheinbaum made the announcement on social media Monday morning, roughly 12 hours before the tariffs were set to take effect. Trump and Sheinbaum spoke on Monday and agreed that Mexico will do more to combat drug trafficking into the U.S., and that the U.S. will step up efforts to block the flow of firearms into Mexico.

Sheinbaum also said officials with the U.S. and Mexico were beginning talks on wider trade and security issues. ...
