Acting FBI Director Refuses to Give Names of Officials Involved in Jan 6 Cases, Trump Investigations
by Cristina Laila Feb. 2, 2025 6:20 pm

Acting FBI Director Brian Driscoll is reportedly refusing to give the names of the officials involved in January 6 cases and Trump investigations.

Brian Driscoll is currently serving as Acting FBI Director as Trump nominee Kash Patel awaits confirmation.

CNN reported that “At least six FBI leaders” have been removed or told to resign by Monday.

President Trump fired the head of the FBI Washington Field Office, David Sundberg, canned 20 other heads of offices. As many as 88 FBI officials were marched out of their offices on Friday.

According to an email from acting Director Brian Driscoll and reviewed by The Gateway Pundit, each field office is required to submit a list of all personnel, current and former, who were involved in January 6th investigations/prosecutions by noon on Tuesday, February 4th.

However, it is now being reported that Brian Driscoll is on thin ice because he refuses to deliver a list of officials involved in the witch hunt of Trump and political persecution of J6ers.

Actually, it's a separation of powers issues now, as the FBI lies squarely within the Executive Branch, and cannot refuse a lawful order from the head of the branch, the President.  Of course, federal judges like to think they can boss the President around ever since Nixon, but I don't think the Doe agents lawsuit will pan out if it reaches SCOTUS quickly.

A group of FBI agents who assisted in criminal investigations stemming from the Jan. 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol filed suit Tuesday in an effort to block the Justice Department from assembling lists of agents for potential disciplinary actions or firings.

The class-action lawsuit, filed anonymously by the agents Tuesday afternoon in D.C. federal court, includes screenshots showing a survey that was sent this week about their actions related to the Jan. 6 cases.

"Plaintiffs are employees of the FBI who worked on Jan. 6 and/or Mar-a-Lago cases, and who have been informed that they are likely to be terminated in the very near future (the week of February 3-9, 2025) for such activity," the lawsuit said. "They intend to represent a class of at least 6,000 current and former FBI agents and employees who participated in some manner in the investigation and prosecution of crimes and abuses of power by Donald Trump, or by those acting at his behest." ...

FBI Gives Up Details Of Over 5,000 Employees Involved in Jan. 6 Cases To DOJ

Eireann Van Natta
Intelligence State Reporter
February 04, 2025 5:26 PM ET

FBI officials turned over information from thousands of employees who worked on cases concerning Jan. 6 to President Trump’s Department of Justice (DOJ), according to a Tuesday report.

Out of over 13,000 agents and 38,000 FBI employees, the details of more than 5,000 personnel were sent to the DOJ, sources familiar told CNN. Information provided included employee identification numbers, work titles and any roles in investigations connected to Jan. 6, according to a source, though names were excluded.

The report does not note how many out of the 5,000 were FBI agents.

The Daily Caller reached out to the FBI, which referred the Caller to the DOJ. The DOJ has not responded at the time of publication.

"Let me be clear: No FBI employee who simply followed orders and carried out their duties in an ethical manner with respect to January 6 investigations is at risk of termination or other penalties.  The only individuals who should be concerned about the process initiated by my January 31, 2025 memo are those who acted with corrupt or partisan intent, who blatantly defied orders from Department leadership, or who exercised discretion in weaponizing the FBI."

FBI, DOJ strike agreement in lawsuit over January 6 agent list amid fears of retaliation

FBI agents had cited 'profound concern' that the list of thousands of agents involved in the Jan. 6 investigations would be leaked to the public, or otherwise make them the target of internal retaliation

By Breanne Deppisch Fox News
Published February 7, 2025 12:39pm EST | Updated February 7, 2025 1:14pm EST

The Justice Department and a group of FBI agents reached an agreement in federal court Friday over the dissemination of information about FBI agents involved in the Jan. 6 investigation.

According to the text of the deal, the Trump administration cannot release information about the FBI agents who investigated the January 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol riot without giving plaintiffs at least two days' notice so that the matter can be considered again in federal court.

It does not, however, place such a time limit on the dissemination of agents' identities to other government agencies or the White House.

The deal resolves, at least for now, a dispute over the release of information that agents said they feared could be used for retaliation or leaked to the public.

Is it just me, but do deals like these give an impression that there were a large contingent were complicit or "guilty" of LEO activities outside the ethical scope of the FBI mission?    That balloon of "benefit of the doubt" courtesy is wooshing out as we speak.

"Following orders" is not an excuse.

The findings of the Nuremburg Tribunals are oft quoted in US law and jurisprudence and following orders comes under the notion of command responsibility.

'Command responsibility' is a defense in which the accused is still held responsible for his actions but the punishment is lessened.

Those law enforcement officers who violated their oaths by following orders still need to be stripped of their badges, their guns, and their pensions. At the very least.

Resistance to Jim Robinson is obedience to God.
