NPR Labeled Stuck Astronauts 'Stranded' For Months, Then Trump Came Along

One of the media’s worst habits is its urge to contradict everything President Donald Trump says simply because he says them. NPR had a rather comical example of this phenomena on Wednesday as it ran a headline saying Trump was wrong to say two astronauts on the International Space Station are stranded despite three previous NPR articles saying they were stranded.

Under the headline “Trump asks SpaceX to 'go get' two stranded ISS astronauts. They're not stranded,” Brendan Byrne cites a Trump social media post, "I have just asked Elon Musk and SpaceX to ‘go get’ the 2 brave astronauts who have been virtually abandoned in space by the Biden Administration,’ Trump wrote on Truth Social. ‘Good luck Elon!!!’"

A displeased Byrne continued, “The astronauts Musk and Trump are presumably referencing are NASA's Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams. NASA has long said the crew isn't ‘stranded’ and a plan to return them safely to Earth has been in place for months. In fact, NASA astronauts always train for lengthy missions and medical experts have kept a watchful eye on the health of the two during their extended stay.”

Ah yes, NPR is right up there with Planned Parenthood for me.  Both funded by the federal government, and I ask why?  And much of that money ends up back in the pockets of Democommies for their campaigns.

Trump wants to save $1 billion, cancel any money going to these two entities.  DO IT NOW!!!

Public broadcasting entities receive $500 million budgeted for this year.  NPR gets a nice taste of that.

Trump has ordered an investigation into what is going on with NPR and public broadcasting money.  I hope he ends up taking affirmative action to curtail an entity like NPR, where 95% of the folks in their newsroom are liberals. 

When I was a newspaper publisher, our primary focus was conservative editorials.  I allowed my Editor, conservative, to have a column, and my Asst Editor, liberal, to have a column, and they squared off each day on an issue.  And all other editorials were conservative, with a focus on accurate reporting. 

I am tired of the federal government hiding huge amounts of money to entities that have but one agenda, the promotion of the Democommie Party and the liberal agenda.  I say end all funds to such companies and entities.

Agreed, it is PUBLIC radio, not government radio. Let them raise money., or go commercial.
