Ken Martin, the longtime leader of the state Democratic Party organization in Minnesota, will be the new Democratic National Committee chair after winning Saturday’s election, as his party looks to turn the page and recover from a dismal 2024.

Martin had been the front-runner from the beginning of the race, leveraging his relationships with the more than 400 voting members of the DNC that he forged over more than a decade of work inside the institutional Democratic Party. And those relationships proved essential, as he clinched a majority of the voting members on the first ballot, more than 100 votes above the second place finisher, Wisconsin Democratic Party chair Ben Wikler.  ...

Addressing the DNC membership after his victory, Martin called for party unity after a relatively quiet race that got chippy at times, and for the party to focus on opposing President Donald Trump.

"We have one team, the Democratic Party, and we have one fight. The fight’s not in here, it’s out there,” he said.

“The fight right now is against Donald Trump and the billionaires who bought this country.”   ...

The DNC Leader interrupted the party election to tell members that not enough non-binary candidates have been elected, so they MUST now vote for one.

"With the results of the previous four elections, our elected officers are currently two male and two female. In order to be gender balanced, we must elect one male, one female, and one person of any gender."

Ken Martin, who has called for President Donald Trump to be charged with treason, was elected Saturday as the next chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

Martin, the head of the Minnesota Democrat-Farmer-Labor Party, received 246.5 votes at the party’s winter meeting, held at National Harbor, Maryland. Wisconsin Democratic Party chairman Ben Wikler came in second place with 134.5 votes, and former Maryland governor Martin O’Malley tallied 44 votes. Martin will replace outgoing chairman Jaime Harrison, the former Senate candidate in South Carolina who spent $100 million in 2022 on a race he lost to Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham by 10 points.

Martin had the endorsements of the influential Rep. Jim Clyburn (D., S.C.) and Minnesota governor Tim Walz and picked up two more ahead of Saturday’s vote, when candidates Marianne Williamson and Nate Snyder dropped out of the race to back him. Wikler had the backing of Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.), as well as the party’s largest donors. Billionaires Reid Hoffman and George Soros gave $500,000 to Wikler’s Forward PAC, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

Saturday’s vote was preceded by a Native American land acknowledgment and pre-recorded video messages from former president Joe Biden and former vice president Kamala Harris. ...

Gun control activist and Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting survivor David Hogg was elected on Saturday to serve as the vice chairman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

Hogg, who received 214.5 votes, was elected to serve as the vice chair of the DNC the same day that Minnesota state party chairman Ken Martin was selected to serve as the chairman of the DNC.

Pennsylvania state Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta (D) received 298 votes to serve as the vice chairman of the DNC with Hogg.

“Who’s ready to take the fight to the Republicans and win this thing? Are you guys ready to fight?” Hogg asked during his victory speech. “It’s been a long day, but guess what? We have a long road ahead. Let’s go and kick some a**. Let’s go win our young people back, and let’s stop sending just our thoughts and prayers to address gun violence, and do something. Are you ready to do that? Because together, we can make school shooter drills history, and not headlines. Are you ready to do that?”

They just can't help themselves.  They have wondered deep into the desert, and have no idea how to get out.  Clearly.

Frankly, it saddens me that one political party has been taken over by the totally insane.  Where are the sane Democommies?  Where?  Actually, as I have stated on other boards, if Trump does not get smart quick, he will pave a golden path for the Democommies to win in November, 2026. 

Now, to the comment above, the fight is against Trump and the billionaires.  Can these stinking hypocritical Democommies be any dumber, I wonder?

When Warren Buffett said jump, Obama and Biden jumped.  Both cancelled the pipeline, and did so to benefit Warren Buffett, owner of the railroads transporting oil from Canada to the south for refining.  And one billionaire after another benefited by the Obama/Biden cabal that held the office of POTUS for 12 awful years.

If this jack*ss takes that tack, he gets nowhere.  I am not impressed by this fool.  Good going Democommies.  Perhaps it is best they remain lost in the desert.  I wonder what James Carville thinks about this moron?

One would think the discussion of binary gender bullsh*t went away.  I guess not.  And perhaps I have an unjustified bias, but anything from Minnesota just does not impress me politically.  Sen Walter Mondale comes to mind, a man that lost probably by the greatest margin ever with the Electoral College.  And of course, more recently was Kamala Harris' selection of the current idiot Governor of Minnesota. 

To quote the great philosopher, Forrest Gump's mother, "stupid is as stupid does".  The Dems just did a very stupid thing. 

Bottomline, billionaires have been controlling this country for decades, and on both sides of the aisle!

ar-left gun control activist David Hogg emerged successful in his bid to become one of three Democratic National Committee (DNC) vice chairs on Friday night.

After four rounds of voting, two candidates garnered more than the required 205 votes as Hogg secured 214.5 votes, while Pennsylvania State Rep. Malcom Kenyatta, a far-left radical who supported the “defund the police” movement, won 209 votes. Artie Blanco of Nevada was also elected as a vice chair during the third of voting.

“Who’s ready to take the fight to the Republicans and win this thing? Are you guys ready to fight?” Hogg said in his victory speech. “It’s been a long day, but guess what? We have a long road ahead. Let’s go and kick some ass. Let’s go win our young people back, and let’s stop sending just our thoughts and prayers to address gun violence and do something.”



Hogg, who launched a political and media career after his classmates were murdered in the Parkland High School shooting in 2018, initially considered a bid for the top job before running for vice chairman. “I’m considering it because I think that one, obviously, I think we need a new generation in the DNC. If this election has taught us nothing else, I think we need an intergenerational coalition as a party,” Hogg said during an appearance on CNN back in November.

Hogg and a handful of his classmates became the faces of national gun control efforts in the wake of the Parkland shooting. The students spoke at the March for Our Lives rally in Washington D.C. and told Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) that it is hard to look at him and not see him “shooting my classmates.”
