Plane crashes in Philadelphia, igniting inferno near homes and mallA small plane crashed on a street near the Roosevelt Mall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Friday night.
A Learjet 55 crashed around 6:30 p.m. after departing from Northeast Philadelphia Airport, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The FAA said two people were on board.
The plane was en route to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri.
There is no word yet on victims who may have been injured on the ground.
A medical oxygen tank was seen on the ground outside a McDonald's near the scene of the crash. A police commander told FOX 29's Steve Keeley that there are "pieces everywhere."
