Multiple senior FBI officials have been ordered to leave the bureau within days or be fired, according to three people familiar with the matter, a sign that President Donald Trump’s administration is purging leadership at an agency that has been a frequent target of his ire.
 
The ultimatums came as Trump’s nominee to lead the bureau, Kash Patel, vowed during his confirmation hearing Thursday that he would not take action against perceived enemies should he be confirmed as FBI director.

“All FBI employees will be protected against political retribution,” Patel told lawmakers.

While the Senate considers Patel’s nomination, the massive law enforcement bureau is being run by an acting director and an acting deputy director, both veteran agents appointed by the White House.

Kash Patel, President Donald Trump's choice to be director of the FBI, claims he was unaware of the decision prior to the ultimatum

The Trump administration has told top officials at the FBI to resign or lose their jobs, Fox News has learned.

The exact number has not been disclosed, but the ultimatum was allegedly given to senior employees promoted under former director, Christopher A. Wray.

President Donald Trump’s administration took these steps as his nominee to lead the bureau, Kash Patel, said he would not begin his tenure with retribution or focus on past transgressions.

"I have no interest, no desire and will not, if confirmed, go backwards. There will be no politicization at the FBI. There will be no retributive actions taken," Patel said at the Senate Judiciary Committee.

According to reporting from The New York Times, an email to colleagues from one of the senior agents outlined that he had learned he would be dismissed "from the rolls of the F.B.I." as soon as Monday morning.

"I was given no rationale for this decision, which, as you might imagine, has come as a shock," he wrote.

I guess the Rats shouldn't have dragged their feet on getting Patel confirmed. Patel isn't firing anyone. He hasn't been confirmed.

Trump should devise a plan to consolidate many of the agencies, and in the end, eliminate everyone above 1st line supervision with the FBI.  In fact, call it by another name altogether.

And whatever the new agency is called should be moved to somewhere in the middle of the country. Get these people out of DC. I was surprised to learn close to a third of all FBI employees are in DC, or the immediate area.

so the guy said it came as shock his being fired? Sounds like maybe he wasn’t too bright as a Feeb, I think anyone aligned with the previous leadership should have known 12:01pm Jan 20 that their time was probably up.

That is a good way to do it. The ones who were promoted or awarded would be in the insider clique who ran everything. They will be Wray's core enablers.

The people who were repeatedly passed over are probably the ones who had enough integrity not to fall in line with that corrupt shitbird Wray, and his henchmen.

CNN now reporting that "dozens of FBI agents who worked on January 6, 2021, US Capitol attack and Trump-related investigations as well as some supervisors being evaluated for possible removal as soon as the end of Friday.

 Agents who worked the investigation of Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents, and those who investigated the roughly 1,600 rioters charged or convicted connected to the violent US Capitol attack on January 6, 2021, have been concerned they could face retribution for doing work they were assigned to do.

Many agents initially had qualms about being assigned to the Capitol attack and Trump cases, viewing the prosecutions as heavy-handed, people familiar with the matter say. Some Justice Department lawyers leading January 6 cases complained that they believed agents sometimes slow-walked some of their work."

He fired all 6 Assistant Directors, 25 special agents, and the Head of the Washington field office, A.D David Sundberg, and that's in addition to the purge at the DOJ, and the NLRB. The President is keeping his promises and the best is yet to come.

I'm so excited I can't stop checking the news!

I prayed the POTUS wouldn't fall into the trap of "forgive and forget" and never believed the response would be so strong. Also, the great part is it's just beginning. I've always believed that the only way to end the banana republic garbage is to make the consequences so severe no one would ever contemplate doing it again.

I sure hope the Pubs in Congress are paying attention and get behind and support this POTUS.
