A volatile stretch of the U.S.-Mexico border near Fronton, Texas, has once again become the scene of cartel-related chaos. According to Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin, suspected cartel members engaged in a violent incident during what authorities believe was a human smuggling operation.

Just yards from U.S. soil, cartel gunmen armed with rifles patrol the riverbanks, visibly unchallenged on the Mexican side. In some cases, these armed operatives have aimed AK-47s at Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) helicopters. Rival cartels are even seen warring with each other, with Texas DPS thermal drone footage capturing combatants throwing explosives in their fight for control over smuggling routes.

The state of Texas has taken aggressive measures to counteract cartel influence in the area. In October, Texas declared Fronton Island state property and launched a bold initiative to clear and secure it. Crews bulldozed the brush, deployed razor wire, and fortified the territory, turning what was once dense cover for cartel activity into an open, 171-acre barren landscape. The state also stationed Texas troopers and National Guard soldiers to patrol the area, fully armed and prepared to prevent illegal crossings.

“Here on the US side of the river you can see what Texas has done with Fronten Island. They have completely cleared it out, they’ve deployed razor wire and there is now nowhere for these cartel gunmen to hide if they want to cross here illegally,” Melugin reported during his on-the-ground segment.

If someone fires on US border patrol while on the US side of the border from the Mexican side there should be a crater where they fired from. There should be zero tolerance for any of that and that must be made clear to the Mexican government in no uncertain terms.

This is the shocking moment American Border Patrol stationed at the Mexican border were fired upon by a suspected drug cartel in an effort to smuggle illegal migrants into Texas.

The gunfight broke out on Monday in Fronton, Texas, near Guadalupe Guerra, exactly one week after President Donald Trump returned to office and began his sweeping deportation crackdown as he declared Mexican drug cartels as 'terrorists'.

Footage shows a small group of rifle-bearing cartel members crossing from Mexico onto an island in the Rio Grande river.

Dressed in black or in camouflage outfits, the gangsters can be seen swinging their weapons around and pointing them up to American drones patrolling the area.

They can also be seen walking along the riverbank in a separate clip before they are joined by a a few other gang members.

Another video shows one man dressed in black hiding in some bushes, as he points his weapon towards a drone.

He then backs away and moves deeper into the foliage, where the outlines of other man can also be seen.

The footage was released by Chris Olivarez, a spokesperson with the Texas Department of Public Safety.

While the cartel suspected of being responsible for the violence has been shooting across the border for years, NewsNation reports that the crisis in the region has 'escalated in unprecedented ways since President Trump was elected.'

The cartel has reportedly 'given orders to shoot at agents recently.'

Solution: Kill them all and let God sort them out. Oh, don’t forget like Frank Hamer told his Texas Rangers “Now holler ‘Manos arriba’ at these sons of bitches and see how many of them shoot you.”

Put as much military assets as needed on the border and eliminate with extreme prejudice and and all that fire at our people, I think A-10’s would be a great asset for the Border Patrol.
