Only if the 16th Amendment goes or is modified to put a cap of 10% or less (I'd prefer 3%, the level of the original income tax) on any future tax imposed on income first.  Otherwise we'll get rid of the income tax, replace it with other taxes, and the 'Rats will get back in and impose a confiscatory income tax on top of the new taxes.

HR25 (the fairtax bill) require repeal of the 16th.

Icould definitely go for that.  It’s something that actually should be a platform issue.

However, one will have to consider how it would be discarded.  Just as I propose social security should be discarded, it still should also be gradually (progressively to wit) reduced to the point of elimination spas not to cause too much disruption.  That includes not simply throwing all the workers out on the street.

So taxes should also be graduated out of existence.  In this case, maybe reducing all the rates every year until gone, along with the agency to administer it.
