Experts suggest Lee Zeldin end Biden electric vehicle mandate and prohibit EPA staff from working with outside groups

A coalition of energy experts on Thursday urged the incoming Trump administration to take dramatic action to ditch regulations imposed by the Biden Environmental Protection Agency and unleash American energy, according to a memo exclusively shared with The Daily Wire.

Led by the American Energy Institute, a group of energy experts sent a memo to Trump EPA nominee and former New York Rep. Lee Zeldin ahead of his Senate hearing, outlining 10 steps they think he can take to roll back EPA abuse. The memo was also sent to Trump’s transition team and co-signed by the Energy & Environment Legal Institute, Truth in Energy and Climate, and the American Lands Council.

“For over five decades, the EPA has amassed a troubling record of overregulation, political abuse, and mission drift, often stifling innovation, burdening the economy, and undermining public trust,” American Energy Institute CEO Jason Isaac told The Daily Wire. “This plan lays the groundwork for realigning the agency’s focus to maintaining a safe environment while bolstering America’s energy and industrial production, reducing consumer costs, and promoting government accountability.”
