"Greatest President Ever"
As President Biden prepares to vacate the White House accolades are pouring in for his performance. Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) asserted "he will go down as the greatest president we ever had. You know, I was the one who secured the Democratic nomination for him in 2020. That was one of the greatest accomplishments of my career. I think President Biden himself would admit he isn't a great orator, but he sure was a great doer of things while in office."
"He did the big things that Trump would never have done," the Congressman pointed out. "He saved the nation from covid by mandating masks and vaccinations. Despite claims that it violated freedom of speech, he didn't hesitate to get the FBI to pressure the media into censoring misinformation that would've deterred millions from getting the jabs, as they were commonly called during the pandemic."
"He rescued millions from third world poverty by inviting people from all over the world to come to America," Clyburn continued. "He offered them free transportation to anyplace they wanted to go in our great country, guaranteed their rights to free healthcare, free housing, free food, and free education for their children. He even commuted the sentences for many of these immigrants who were convicted of crimes against American citizens. Heck, he is so kind and merciful that he even spared admitted murderer and MS-13 gang member Jairo Saenz from the death penalty. Trump would never have done any of this if he had been reelected in 2020."
"Finally, he ended the war in Afghanistan at a cost of the lives of only 13 US troops," he concluded. "He would have also saved democracy from the coming Trump tyranny if others hadn't forced him off the Democratic ticket in the 2024 election. I disagree with the 54% of voters who believe President Biden will be remembered as a below average president. I think he will be seen as one of the most gifted heroes that we've ever had in public office. His five decades as a senator, vice-president, and president will be universally lauded by future generations."
CNN's Fareed Zakaria commended Clyburn's observations, but chided him for "forgetting to include the resounding success of Bidenomics in reviving the country from the devastation the policies of Trump inflicted during his first term. Biden's investment in the green economy created whole new industries that might otherwise never have existed without the vital subsidies his administration provided. Sadly, these industries will now be allowed to go bankrupt because the incoming Trump administration won't be willing to continue those subsidies. Historians will regard this u-turn as a tragic error and rue voters' rejection of Biden's second term."
Newsom's Wildfire Response
True to his Party's belief that crises are opportunities to advance the interests of Democrats, Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif) has used the state's wildfire disaster to launch a campaign website. "So far there has been a lot of finger pointing about who's to blame for the magnitude of the fire damage being done in our state," Newsom complained. "What is needed is an honest assessment of the facts. We're calling on folks to help out by donating funds to ensure that those of us who have been diligently governing the state do not suffer undeserved blame."
The Governor insisted that "this preemptive strike is necessary to combat Trump's attempt to cast this disaster as a result of the Democratic Party's long term control of all the key state and major city governments in California. Well, it is a fact that voters have overwhelmingly supported Democrats for all these offices for the past few decades. Trump calling me and other Democrats incompetent is just more evidence of his opposition to our democracy. Sure, we haven't spent the billions that voters approved in 2014 to build the dams and reservoirs that could have stored the water needed to avert the current tragedy, but we've been busy saving the climate."
Newsom admitted that "we canceled the fire safety project in Pacific Palisades that would've replaced wooden electric poles with steel ones and installed wind and fire-resistant power lines because the work could have damaged the habitat of the Braunton's Milkvetch wild pea plant. We also had hundreds of thousand migrants to house and feed. In hindsight that may seem foolish, but who would've thought an urban fire could be so damaging?"
Well, six years ago, wildfire expert Jack Cohen foresaw the danger and advised area firefighters on how to minimize the risk and damage of wildfires. This advice was ignored. In fact, the budget of the Los Angeles Fire Department was cut by Mayor Karen Bass.
Newsom isn't completely heartless. He did order the extension of the property tax payment deadline for homeowners whose houses were destroyed by the fires, saying "I can see how it might be tough on them for a big tax bill to hit them while they're homeless. However, I must remind them that this is a postponement, not an elimination of the taxes due. They will also be allowed to rebuild, but must follow the tougher environmental requirements that have been put into place since their original homes were built."
In related news, the wildfires have destroyed a cache of 200 of Hunter Biden's paintings worth millions of dollars. The President's son is hoping to use the lost assets as an offset against future income. "After the awfully hard year I've just had I really need a break," Hunter said. "My influence-peddling business is kaput. My Chinese business partners won't take my phone calls. I don't know if I'll ever be able to earn an income again, but if I do, the loss of my artwork should make it tax-free."
Dems Appropriate $50 Million to Fight Deportations
California legislators are authorizing $50 million of taxpayer funds to help resist efforts by the incoming Trump Administration to deport persons who entered the United States illegally. State Sen. Budget Committee Chair Scott Wiener (D-San Fran) said "California faces two massive challenges. First, horrifically destructive wildfires in Los Angeles have rendered thousands of residents homeless. Second, an incoming federal administration has vowed to deport immigrant Angelenos."
"Clearly, we lack the funds to do much about the damage that the fires have done," Wiener admitted. "However, the fires are a only a local problem of a transitory nature. The deportations that Trump wants pose a grave long-term threat that would diminish the state's and the Democratic Party's electoral power. If we spend a mere $50 million on lawyers who could impede the deportations we will have achieved a much more important objective at a much lower cost."
"As earnest as the California Democrats may be to retain their political power by harboring illegal aliens, it is out-of-sync with what the majority of Americans voted for," Trump reminded Sen. Wiener. "I believe that most Americans would not see maintaining the political clout of California Democrats as a benefit to the rest of the country. Too many of the foreigners that the Biden Administration invited and imported into our country are criminals. Since we are prioritizing deporting this contingent of persons who illegally crossed our borders the vast majority of Americans, including those who reside in California will benefit from our efforts. I even hear that voters in California want to recall Gov. Newsom. Wiener's $50 million may enrich some lawyers, but it certainly won't help the over-taxed and over-regulated citizens of California or America."
Revealing Exit Interview
In an interview on CBS's "Sixty Minutes," outgoing FBI Director Christopher Wray admitted that "China has penetrated America's water treatment plants, electric grid, and other critical civilian infrastructure, and is lying 'in wait' for an opportunity to cyberattack at a time and place of its choosing."
Most Americans have been led to believe that the FBI is a crackerjack outfit that is protecting the country against subversion. At least, that is the story promulgated by the mainstream media, TV shows, and movies. If the Chinese have subverted America during his watch why does Wray seem so relaxed now that he is leaving the FBI?
"As serious as the Chinese thing may appear, in my judgment the biggest threat to America during my time at the FBI has been the attack on our democracy made by Donald Trump and his MAGA extremists," Wray said. "I was laser focused on this greater threat. We did everything we could to prevent it. We continuously spied on him and his associates and allies. We suppressed evidence that would have exonerated him in various allegations others made about his activities. We pressured social media to censor anything and everything that might have put Trump in a favorable light. Yet, despite all of our efforts Trump won the 2024 election. The relaxation you see in me now is the last stage of grief. I've accepted my loss and am ready to move forward."
The Irony of Covid
Now, after billions of people around the world have been injected with Pfizer's covid vaccines, the company has released a list of the "side effects" of its product which includes: blood thrombosis, acute kidney injury, acute flaccid myelitis, positive antisperm antibodies, brainstem embolism, brainstem thrombosis, cardiac arrest, heart failure, cardiac ventricular thrombosis, cardiogenic shock, central nervous system vasculitis, neonatal death, deep vein thrombosis, brainstem encephalitis, hemorrhagic encephalitis, frontal lobe epilepsy, foaming at the mouth, epileptic psychosis, facial paralysis, fetal distress syndrome, gastrointestinal amyloidosis, hashimoto's encephalopathy, hepatic vascular thrombosis, herpes zoster reactivation, hepatitis immune-mediated, interstitial lung disease, jugular vein embolism, juvenile myoclonic epilepsy, liver damage, low birth weight, multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children, myocarditis, neonatal seizure, pancreatitis, pneumonia, stillbirth, tachycardia, and temporal lobe epilepsy.
This week, Dr. William Makis, a leading Canadian physician with expertise in radiology, oncology, and immunology, announced "remarkable results from treating over 1,000 cancer patients with a combination of Ivermectin and Fenbendazole or Ivermectin and Mebendazole. Many of these patients had been told by doctors that 'there is nothing more that medicine can do for you.' During my last two years of research I found over 100 papers on the success of Ivermectin and cancer. There are also hundreds, if not thousands, of testimonials on the success of Ivermectin and Fenbendazole."
In June of 2024, surgical oncologist Dr. Kathleen Ruddy announced that "every terminally ill patient under my care who tried ivermectin made a full recovery. The drug that the FDA derided as a 'horse dewormer' and urgently advised covid sufferers to avoid triggered dramatic recoveries in patients who had exhausted all other cancer treatments."
In July of 2024, Dr. Paul Marik, an American physician and former professor of medicine, announced that "when patients with cancer are given ivermectin in combination with some other drugs their cancer disappeared."
In parts of the world where ivermectin is a common treatment for other diseases the incidence of covid mortality has been far below that of the United States where an official campaign to prevent those with covid from trying ivermectin was undertaken. The Biden Administration's championing of that campaign was a major blunder that made the toll of covid on Americans much worse than if they had simply done nothing.
Iran Complains About the Weather
A polar vortex is sending a wave of very cold air over much of the US for the next few days. This includes Washington, DC. By inauguration day below freezing temperatures are expected near the Capitol where the ceremony is traditionally held. This forecast has has persuaded President-Elect Donald Trump to move the ceremony indoors.
"On such a joyous occasion I don't want to see people have to run a guantlet of cold and snow just to be present at this historic moment," Trump said. "Expecting the tens of thousands of law enforcers, first responders, police K9s and horses, and hundreds of thousands of supporters to sit or stand outside for many hours on the 20th is unreasonable."
Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei lamented "we have spent the last six months infiltrating our assassins into the United States through the borders President Biden so kindly left open for us. His exemption of nearly 7000 foreign nationals from terror-related entry restrictions into the US has been extraordinarily helpful. Trump's decision to move the inauguration indoors messes up all of our plans. The weapons we have so carefully acquired and smuggled to a safe house near the Capitol will be rendered useless. Our snipers will have no clear line-of-sight to their target. Our suicide bombers will never get past the armed security and into the Capitol. Trump has thwarted us again. Is there no way we can outwit this evil genius?"
