Trump team asks 3 career State Dept. officials to step down -sources
Change could signal more changes to foreign service workforce
Trump wants more political appointees at the State Department - sources

WASHINGTON, Jan 15 (Reuters) - Aides to President-elect Donald Trump have asked three senior career diplomats who oversee the U.S. State Department's workforce and internal coordination to step down from their roles, two U.S. officials familiar with the matter said, in a possible signal of deeper changes ahead for the diplomatic corps.

The team overseeing the State Department's transition to the new administration, the Agency Review Team, has requested that Dereck Hogan, Marcia Bernicat and Alaina Teplitz leave their posts, the sources said.

While political appointees typically submit their resignations when a new president takes office, most career foreign service officers continue from one administration to the next. All three officials have worked in both Democratic and Republican administrations throughout the years, including as ambassadors.

Trump, who will be inaugurated Jan. 20, pledged during his presidential campaign to "clean out the deep state" by firing bureaucrats that he deems as disloyal
.
"There's a little bit of a concern that this might be setting the stage for something worse," one of the U.S. officials familiar with the matter said.

I know they will make mistakes, but it sure looks like Trump learned a lot from his first term.

If they won't resign, fire them.

If firing them is problematic, just re-assign them to do-nothing jobs in which they'll have no influence.

Biden's Basement - LOCK THEM OUT

The #Biden  alumni aren’t just looking for jobs—they’re looking for leverage. Future employers, hiring them could cost you credibility and create access issues with the next administration.

This is a brilliant move! This database, led by former Trump staffer Josh Whitehouse, tracks Biden officials to block their return to government or lobbying roles. It’s a vital safeguard against sabotage, ensuring conservative agendas are protected from political interference.

PAYBACK: Database To Publicize Who Hires Biden’s Appointees, After Trump Staff Were Blackballed
Democrats attempted to destroy the careers of many people who worked for Trump during his first term
By  Luke Rosiak

A new database will track the careers of former Biden appointees, potentially putting companies who hire Democrats out in the cold with the Trump administration.

The public website will capture politicos who cash in on their government tenure to peddle influence as lobbyists, as well as identifying those who “burrow” into obscure government positions that are ostensibly non-political, potentially thwarting the Trump administration from within. The Daily Wire identified one such case this week, with a former White House personnel office operative implanted into a new position at the Department of Labor that would be uninterrupted by a new president.

The website, InsideBidensBasement.org, could also have an element of revenge: Democrats attempted to destroy the careers of many people who worked for Trump during his first term, getting lawyers disbarred and pressuring major companies not to hire Trump administration alumni. Washington’s conservative happy hours are full of tales of people who occupied high-powered roles in the Trump administration — the kind that would historically lead to no shortage of high-powered career opportunities — instead being unemployed. ...

The career bureaucrats comprise the bulk of the Deep State as they remain in the shadows.

Need much more light shown on these subversive and self-serving individuals
