President-elect Donald Trump is reportedly considering the director of Florida's emergency management agency to lead the Federal Emergency Management Agency after Trump's second administration begins Jan. 20.
Trump's transition team is reportedly considering Florida Division of Emergency Management Executive Director Kevin Guthrie for the post, according to Politico.
“That’s their leading candidate,” according to a source for the news outlet also made clear Trump has not interviewed Guthrie yet.
Trump has already appointed many Floridians for his upcoming administration, including GOP Sen. Marco Rubio for secretary of State, Pam Bondi for attorney general and Susie Wiles for White House chief of staff.
Trump has been quite critical of FEMA lately as natural disasters have taken place over the past several months and he has been critical of how the organization has handled them.
