This country is about freedom, so if a city or state decides to punish their citizens by taking money from them in order to pay for illegals, they are free to do so.

Of course they will pay for it over time as criminal activity worsens and taxpayers and companies flee the insanity.

What that city or state is not free to do is to extract money from other cities or states to subsidize illegals.

This is why I have been saying a one-way bus ticket is the best investment a state or municipality can do to deal with the cost of illegal immigration.
