Michael Byrd should be tried, convicted, and hanged along with all who enabled him!
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Cop murders someone and gets away with it.

Because he's more equal than the rest of us.

A Democrat wannabe cop murdered someone and got away with it because he is a Democrat.

It's not the cop.  It's the ideology.  Just ask Derek Chauvin.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

Chauvin was a reckless idiot. Had he:
1. Left Floyd in the backseat of the police car
2. Shot Floyd instead of arresting him

He'd still have a job.

Instead he was gratuitously cruel to someone who was already in custody.

My thoughts, as unpopular as they may be, hindsight is 20/20. The people in that building didn't know what was going on. Who knows what information was given to the people inside of that building via phone?  The cop didn't know what was going on and shot to protect. Maybe Ashli shouldn't have tried to climb thru the window.

Do I think the cop should go to trial...yes. But manslaughter is different from murder.

Or, maybe, just do what a cop tells you to do at the time.  It can be straightened out later. Like it, don't like it...it is their job. As in every profession some are good....some are bad.

Byrd didn't tell Ashli anything. He let his pistol do the talking. And we're still waiting for it to be straightened out.
