Looks like Nancy needs to retire. She could use some 'how to use a walker' lessons as well.
My opinion of her could not possibly be any lower, but I'll extend a little sympathy - just a smidge - having had both hips replaced. But you're right about technique. You have to be careful not to grip the walker incorrectly, or else you'll damage your ulnar nerve and experience unrelenting numbness in your hand forevermore.
