R.I.P. Prayers for him and the family.

My bride just celebrated her 57th anniversary this past Saturday. I was busy!

Well, Sometimes, maybe not.  As Meat Loaf once said;  “I swore I would love you 'til the end of time, so now I'm praying for the end of time to hurry up and arrive.” So there is that!

Peter Engel, prolific teen sitcom producer, dies at 88

If you were a kid growing up in the late 1980s and 1990s, you were at least familiar with Engel's work as the cornerstone of TNBC, the teen sitcom block that NBC carried on Saturday morning. His most famous show was Saved by the Bell, which he parlayed into a long-term contract producing several more shows, many of which were not as popular but, thanks to government mandates for educational content (which Engel met by shoehorning moral lessons into the plots), kept Engel employed into the early 2000s.

Gene Hackman likely died about a week after his wife, Betsy Arakawa, passed away due to hantavirus, a medical examiner announced Friday.

Hackman died of cardiovascular disease, with Alzheimer’s as a factor as well, said Heather Jarrell, the chief medical examiner for the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator.

Arakawa likely died about a week earlier, on Feb. 11, of hantavirus, a potentially fatal virus transmitted by mice. ...

Hantavirus?  Damn, that must have meant that they had a rodent infestation in their house.  Shudder......

If his dementia was as bad as they say, he probably thought nothing of it, or if he did, he didn't remember how to call for help by that point.
