Drill deeply enough into homosexuals’ memories, and far too often, there’s a history as a child sexual abuse victim.
I am sure this is true, for some, but not for all.
I know few people that have chosen to be gay, but the two I do know well, neither of them were abused as children. In fact, I think they have a common thread that I believe may have been a primary cause of their selecting to be gay. Both had very dominant mothers, that were controlling in many if not in every way.
I remember when I was five years of age, I too had a controlling mother, but I made the decision then, and I remember making it, that I would do what I want. I was not about to have my mother dictate to me as she thought she would. But for the two people I know that were gay, I never recall either of them making a similar decision. They grew up jumping to the demands of their mothers. I remember saying to the one, 'I would think you could make that decision without your mother telling you what to do'. The robot son stood there waiting for his mother to tell him what to do. I was shocked.
So, yes, I think boys with a dominate mother, where they have not made the decision to break away from the excessive control tend to be gay, based on my observations.
And I am sure there are other reasons. For women, I would think it is tokophobia or genophobia.
There are all kinds of fear. You name it, there is a name for it. There are a dozen other reasons that have fear as the primary component.
