The Press Are Astonished Biden's Senility Was 'Under-Reported,' As the Hot Dog Man Meme Comes to Life
Bonchie

One of the toughest parts of being a political commentator is trying to figure out whether the people I'm critiquing truly lack any and all self-awareness or if they are just dishonest hacks, willing to go to absurd lengths to gaslight Americans. Unfortunately, it's typically the latter, and that's the assumption I'm forced to make about Sunday's "Face the Nation" roundtable.

During a segment in which the year's most "under-reported" stories are discussed, Jan Crawford spoke up to state the obvious about President Joe Biden's long-standing senility.

Quote
GARRETT: One of the things we also do in the year-end correspondent's roundtable is dig into what was undercovered or what was under-reported. Jan?

CRAWFORD: Under-covered and under-reported. That would be Joe Biden's obvious cognitive decline that became undeniable in the televised debate.

GARRETT: At the presidential debate with Donald Trump.

CRAWFORD: Unquestioned, and you know, it's starting to emerge now that his advisors kind of managed his limitations, it's been reported in The Wall Street Journal, for four years, and yet he insisted that he could still run for president. We should have much more forcibly questioned whether he was fit for office for another four years, which could have led to a primary for the Democrats. It could have changed the scope of the entire election.

Yet, still, incredibly, we read in the Washington Post that his advisors that he regrets that he dropped out of the race. You know, that he thinks he could have beaten Trump, and I think that is either delusional or their gaslighting everyone.

There's more, including Robert Costa once again proving he's a true hack's hack by pushing back on Crawford, but I want to address the insinuation that the presidential debate in June was the moment Biden's cognitive decline was revealed. Anyone who reads RedState knows that's nonsense. Over the last four years, I wrote far more articles than I cared to about Biden's very public mental collapses, which seemed to occur multiple times a day (when he wasn't hidden off in Delaware) in the last few years of his term.

CBS News Reporter Says Biden’s ‘Obvious Cognitive Decline’ Most Underreported 2024 Story

President Joe Biden’s “obvious cognitive decline” was the most underreported story of 2024, CBS News reporter Jan Crawford claimed on Sunday, conceding the octogenarian’s declining mental acuity appeared obvious to all but members of the corporate media whose very job it was to cover the White House and its occupant.

As I posted in the similar News forum thread:

More accurately:

... most covered up 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 story was Biden’s ‘obvious cognitive decline’
I am not and never have been a leftist.

If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

Pay attention to what Jan Crawford says here:

First, she is blaming Biden staffers for her unwillingness to be an investigative reporter.  But more importantly, she is speaking in hindsight about the election.  She is essentially saying that had reporters reported the truth and thrown Biden under the bus much earlier, then they could have gotten a better candidate from the primaries than Harris, and possibly beaten Trump in November.  This has nothing to do with right and wrong here.  It has everything to do with them controlling the narrative and reshaping the political structure.

She doesn't regret covering up for Biden.  She only regrets Trump getting elected.

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

That is a fair analysis of what she actually said.
