Trump Must Take Heed of the Corruption in Ukraine’s Government
By Miles Cattermole

Europe now has no more corrupt country than Ukraine. For the third consecutive year, the country has been grappling with the repercussions of an ongoing war, seeking ways to sustain and operate all governmental institutions while relying heavily on international aid. Additionally, as was to be expected, within the Ukrainian government, there are individuals who are still attempting to profit amid a substantial budget shortfall.

Most Ukrainian ministers are currently someone’s proteges, with real power concentrated in the hands of several characters who influence decision-making and receive financial rewards. One such group is the State Property Fund of Ukraine (“SPFU”), which manages the privatization, leasing, assessment, and seizure of state assets. The SPFU operates under the supervision of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak. Until recently, Yermak’s deputy for economic matters, Rostislav Shurma, oversaw the fund.

Shurma’s career ended this September after allegations of corruption and fostering a negative image of the official in the media. The US was rumored to have refused to work with him and insisted on his dismissal. Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as befits a person who does not make independent decisions regarding his country’s domestic policy, complied with the instructions of Biden’s associates. Consequently, Shurma found himself unemployed.

Europe now has no more corrupt country than Ukraine. ...

Per https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/most-corrupt-countries , in Europe, Russia is far more corrupt, Bosnia & Herzegovina is more corrupt, and Albania and Belarus very slightly less (basically equal).

Per https://tradingeconomics.com/country-list/corruption-rank , Bosnia & Herzegovina and Russia are more corrupt, and Ukraine is tied with Serbia at 104th (Ukraine is improving, up from 116th; out of 180).

I'll give "American Thinker" half a kudo for dropping the "Most Corrupt Country in the World" absurdity, but their anti-Ukraine premise is still false, and easily fact-checked ("list of most corrupt countries in the world" is not a sophisticated search phrase). False premise, defective or simply false "reasoning".

Trump needs to take heed of the corruption in the US government.

Indeed, Trump needs to take heed of the corruption in both; however Trump got too close to unveiling the corruption once before and was impeached.  Hopefully this time around traitors like McConnell, Schumer, Biden and his other cronies with their hands in the cookie jar will be punished.

That's an outright lie.

Corruption Perceptions Index

Serbia is equal at 104, but Bosnia (108), Turkey (115), and Russia (141) are worse.

So how about heeding the corruption in Russia's government?

Denmark is #1 on that list.  Denmark, a country that actually delivered on the weapons it promised to Ukraine including 19 F-16 fighters.  Meanwhile, the current regime transferred drawdown money to the Defense department a year ago for some US F-16s to Ukraine, yet not a single one has been delivered.  Where did all that money go?  Can't blame that on Ukraine.

Keep in mind that for some, Ukraine is the most corrupt country in ______ is a facts-don't-matter article of faith. Same thing with the Ukrainians-Are-Nazis belief.

Explain how a country which hosted an oil company which paid $1,000,000 in one year to the son of the 2nd most powerful US official for doing nothing can be called corrupt?

Just because his dad pardoned him?
