The last major eruption of Tambora triggered "the year without a summer" in 1816, also called "Eighteen-hundered-and-froze-to-death", with snowfalls in June in southern England and essentially no growing season in a goodly part of the inhabited world.
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.
