The German Christmas Market Attack Demonstrates Perils of Mass Migration Policies

The perils of mass migration from dangerous parts of the world came to the forefront once again after an attack on a Christmas market in Germany left at least five dead and several hundred others injured.
The alleged perpetrator was a Saudi Arabian migrant, who was given refugee status by the German government in 2016. While the motive of the suspect has not yet been made clear, the attack will surely fuel further controversy over Western leaders’ decision to import large numbers of foreign nationals from parts of the world known for being hotbeds of terrorism and Islamic extremism.
Like much of Europe, Germany has greatly suffered from the excesses of mass migration over the past decade. According to Politico, “While foreigners make up about 15 percent of Germany’s population, they accounted for a record 41 percent of all crimes in 2023.”
Attacks against Christians and Jews in Europe have significantly increased in recent years, with more than 2,400 anti-Christian hate crimes reported in Europe during 2023, including a staggering 105% increase in Germany. As these numbers and the latest attack demonstrates, it has become increasingly dangerous for Christians and Jews to visibly live out their faith in Germany and throughout Europe. This is a direct consequence of the leaders of these countries throwing caution to the wind when it comes to accepting foreign nationals from parts of the world which are extremely hostile to Western values.
