Elizabeth Warren Sparks Firestorm With New Allegations Against Republicans

Congress recently avoided a government shutdown with a bipartisan spending bill. The legislation, signed by President Joe Biden, extended government funding through March 2025 and includes over $100 billion in disaster aid for recent storms in the Southeast and $10 billion for agriculture. The spending bill sparked accusations from Democratic lawmakers such as Senator Elizabeth Warren, claiming that Republicans had blocked funding for childhood cancer research.

Some asks Liz under what authority does the government have the right to seize out assets in order to pay out arbitrarily to anyone they wish to?

It is what is wrong with our dysfunctional spending.

I do hope DOGE addresses the need for all funding to pass the smell test that each and every item in the budget needs constitutional approval as well as full-cycle economics on all expenditures, with very few exceptions permitted.
