Report: Biden Considering Commuting the Sentences of Inmates on Death Row

Elizabeth Weibel 20 Dec 2024

President Joe Biden is reportedly considering commuting the sentences of men on the federal death row list, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal.

People “familiar with the matter” reportedly told the outlet that Biden is reportedly “considering commuting” the sentences of “most, if not all” of the 40 men who are currently on the death row list.

Fox News’s Bill Melugin wrote in a post on X that “Charleston church mass shooter Dylan Roof and Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev are both on federal death row,” in response to reports that Biden is considering commuting the sentences of death row inmates.

Whatever happened to giving pardons and commutations only to non-violent offenders?

Biden is not doing this.  One of his crazy staffers is. He just signs the paperwork they put in front of him.  Our country does not have a leader.

I believe this 100%.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

If Biden truly is not of sound mind and body, then can't these pardons be thrown out?  Including Hunter's?

That's the way it has been for years -- starting at 12:01pm January 20, 2021.

He is certainly NOT of sound mind and body. Biden would sign a box of corn flakes if someone put it in front of him.
He has no idea. These pardons are all from bribes and special interests taking advantage of an impaired old coot.

Yep. I doubt he is in good enough shape to consider 40 cases of anything in one lump. Either that or he is doing real Oscar quality acting to avoid prosecution for all the crap he and his kin have pulled.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
