Residents of Alberta seem the most receptive to President-elect Donald Trump’s chatter of Canada becoming the 51st US state, according to a newly released poll.

A new Leger poll suggests 13% of Canadians would like the country to become the next US state.

The national demographic breakdowns show there’s higher support among men, at 19%, compared with only 7% of women.

Alberta leads the country on the question, with 19% of respondents saying yes, followed by Manitoba/Saskatchewan at 18% and then British Columbia at 15%.

13%?  Man that is HUGE!   lol
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

To bad the %'s weren't a lot higher. Alberta would be a great addition to the USA.

13% of Canada, 19% of Alberta (followed closely by Manitobe and Saskatchewan at 18%) All three produce oil, Manitoba and Saskatchewan are known for farming as well. All three are more 'free', mentally, than the Eastern Provinces.

It's a long way from a majority, and they'd require some reeducation (),  but they'd be good.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Yeah, I 'd really like to join a country that has $36T in debt, that enumerates to 150% of GDP.  /s

Even the most bullish pro-USA Canadian Province has 81% saying Hell No.
