Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “sustained an injury” during a congressional delegation trip to a World War II battlefield in Luxembourg, her office revealed on Friday.

Pelosi, 84, joined a bipartisan group of lawmakers to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge in the Western European nation — but was injured and later “admitted to the hospital for evaluation,” according to her spokesman Ian Krager.

Mitch and Pelosi have both fallen; gee, what an unfortunate turn of events.  They both need to drop completely out of the political arena and go home and enjoy the rest of their days.

As we age most of us are at risk for falling which can be quite detrimental to our well being, so they are both very fortunate that they have lived and enjoyed their political careers as long as they have; however it's time for them to wave good-bye.  :seeya:

At her age, breaking a hip is one of the most vulnerable and likely incidents.

And problematic in safely getting her back to the states.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, 84, has reportedly been hospitalized as she has been in Luxembourg with the Congressional delegation. She reportedly took a fall and fractured her hip before being admitted to the hospital.

My uncled died from complications after surgery to repair a broken hip.

When does we convene the Constitutional Convention to create an amendment to limit the maxium age and the maximum number of years for holding Federal office.

Younger generations are enduring intergenerational tyranny at the hands of geriatric Federal office holders.

On Friday, an American congressional delegation gathered in Luxembourg to commemorate a pivotal chapter in World War II history: the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge. The ceremony honored the sacrifice of Allied forces, including the more than 19,000 Americans who perished in the brutal winter campaign.

During the event, Nancy Pelosi sustained an injury, according to a statement issued by her spokesperson. “While traveling with a bipartisan Congressional delegation in Luxembourg to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi sustained an injury during an official engagement and was admitted to the hospital for evaluation,” spokesperson Ian Krager said in a statement early Friday.

Krager revealed that Pelosi was “receiving excellent treatment from doctors and medical professionals.” However, the severity of her injury became clearer later in the day, with insiders confirming a diagnosis of a fractured hip.

Pelosi suffered a “hard” fall on the marble stairs at the Grand Ducal Palace, according to a source who spoke to The New York Times on the condition of anonymity. The former Speaker of the House reportedly fractured her hip due to the mishap. Insiders from both California and Washington, D.C., who requested anonymity because they were not cleared to speak on her behalf, indicated that although doctors are optimistic about a straightforward surgical repair, it remains uncertain whether the procedure will take place in Luxembourg or back in the United States.

My aunt broke her hip in a fall. Right after the surgery, she descended into dementia, and didn't last a long time after that. :/

I’m happy to hear Nancy Pelosi is ok after falling down the stairs. I get most of my stock trading tips from her so hopefully she recovers quickly and gets back at it soon
