Republican senator Joni Ernst is accused of cheating on her husband with a soldier, 'lying out nude on the patio' and dating men in D.C. while she was married - but she says her ex was a violent cheat

    Iowa Senator Joni Ernst's husband Gail claimed in divorce papers she cheated on him with a soldier while she served in the National Guard in the early 2000s
    Gail, 65, blasted Joni in attempt to receive alimony payments, lawyer fees and remove her from their home in Red Oak, Iowa, citing 'bizarre behavior'
    He claims the Republican politician, 48, 'walked around the house nude, laid out nude on the back patio, and attempted to crawl into bed naked with him at night'
    The former military man claims he was like a single parent raising their daughter Libby because Joni's career was 'all consuming' 
    But in her own affidavit, filed last October and unsealed this month, Joni claims Gail had at least three affairs during their 25-year marriage
    She claims after confronting Gail about his 'special friendship' with their babysitter, he became physical and she had to flee the house with their daughter
    Ernst has launched an emergency court bid to have the records sealed

Iowa Senator Joni Ernst's estranged husband has claimed in bombshell divorce papers she had an affair with one of her own soldiers and displayed 'bizarre behavior' after he filed for divorce, DailyMail.com can disclose.

The Republican's husband Gail Ernst filed for divorce from the 48-year-old last summer and in newly unsealed court papers that were filed in October 2018, both Joni and Gail list allegations against the other as they fight over access to property, temporary alimony and attorney fees.

Gail blasted his estranged wife in attempt to remove her from their family home in Red Oak, Iowa, citing 'bizarre behavior' where the politician 'walked around the house nude, laid out nude on the back patio, and attempted to crawl into bed naked with him at night'.

The 65-year-old also claims Joni admitted to a sexual affair with a soldier while she was deployed from 2003 - 2004, after he found secret emails between the two.

But Joni hit back at Gail in her own affidavit, claiming he was physically violent with her and that he had at least three affairs during their 25-year marriage, including a bank teller, their daughter's babysitter and his 'long-term girlfriend' Carla Rickert.

Conressional Republicans need to get back to old fashioned cocaine-fueled orgies behind closed doors.

I guess we can include "family values" as another principle or virtue that Congressional Republicans have aschewed.

I would bet she's sorry now that she decided to be Mitch's lead on fighting Hegseth.

She's up for reelection in 2026 and I suspect she's in for the fight if her life if she wins her primary.

It would be a shame for Trump have to primary GOP Senators who aren't playing ball.

Let Trump have the cabinet he wants.  That way, Trump, and the Republicans own the next two years without plausible deniability of RINO obstruction.

It looks to me like Ernst was getting blackmailed by the Dems - 'Oppose Hegseth, or we release these files'.  She played ball at first, but later began to waver.  So the Dems honored their threat.

Ernst sounds like she has really become a swamp monster during her time in DC but her husband also sounds like a complete loser.

I know Joni from back in the campaign days and I'm gonna need alot more proof to believe this stuff. She just didn't come across like that kind of person back then.
