Big City Mayor Hints At Joining GOP: ‘I’m A Part Of The American Party’

Democrat New York City Mayor Eric Adams made headlines on Friday by refusing to rule out a return to the Republican Party. Joined by First Deputy Mayor Maria Torres-Springer, Eric Adams appeared on “Mornings On 1” to celebrate a landmark achievement after a slim majority of the City Council greenlit his “City of Yes” housing initiative.

When asked if he’d ever “consider rejoining the GOP,” Adams gave an interesting answer. Adams, who was a registered Republican from 1997 to 2001 before switching to the Democratic Party, tied his comments to broader ideals of patriotism and service.

“The party that’s the most important for me is the American party. I’m a part of the American party. I love this country. This is the home of the free, the land of the brave,” Adams said. “My 19-year-old [uncle] died on the fields of Vietnam protecting what this city and this country represents. And that’s the party I’m going to always be a member of.”

“And I did it as a police officer when I wore that bulletproof vest for 22 years. And I’m gonna do it with this blue suit as the mayor of the city of New York,” he finished.

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists

What is it about the Party of slavery, Jim Crow, racism, unequal protection, communism, and general anti-Americanism that doesn't appeal to him any more?
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-
