AOC Highlights "Completely False" FEMA Disinformation Ramifications

During a FEMA disaster response hearing, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez questioned FEMA Director Deanne Criswell about disinformation surrounding FEMA assistance, such as claims of $750 loans leading to home seizures and insufficient resources for aid. Criswell confirmed these were false. AOC highlighted the potential harm of such misinformation, including people refusing vital help or escalating tensions for FEMA workers trying to assist.
