Not necessarily. Collapse of overlying strata undermined by extensive cave development can leave some surreal landscapes. Since the collapse would follow solution channels in the subsurface strata, the surface expression would be canyon like and water moving might follow those topographic lows as ready-made channels, only moving on the (now lowered) surface instead of underground.
