I messed with the image in the quote
My microscope doesn't tilt back far enough to read the original...
@rmc51 I changed the first part to :[ img width=92 height=88 ] (without the spaces between the brackets and the text contained therein) keeping the same aspect ratio to avoid distortion. If you don't want to specify height/width, just put the link to the image. If you need to shrink or expand it, just put "width=XXX" where XXX is a number up to about 500 to fit on the page. If you play with it and use preview (or modify after you post it), you can dial it in.

Thank you very much for trying to help, but something is happening that is very strange.

I used BB code 10-15 years ago on the websites.

Late 80's early 90's I was a electronic/computer tech. I was moonlighting at night as a beta tester for a company, Central Point Software; we made a product called Pctools. It was a utility program that was a direct competitor with Norton Utilities. We were doing so good that Microsoft bought a couple suites of ours put them in Dos-5 and DOD bought a couple also. I did Pctools dos 7,8,9, windows 1 & 2.

Norton did not like that and they bought out Central Point and fired all of us and crushed Pctools. I then went to Colorado tape drives and did the beta work on the Jumbo drive and Trakker drives. HP then came in and bought Colorado tape drives and I spent 2.5 years with HP tape drives.  I am pretty good at finding problems, but I don't understand what is happening here.

Yep, followed your directions. It will not paste the image in-between the img brackets. I get the above "gone" but will not paste the copied image between them.

Fyi I just copied and pasted that image from your post to my MS word and it did paste to it. So it is coping it but will not paste it on this site.

FYI M-AK, the [img][/img link that the image button put in that was right above my text has gone blank also like it should. the next post will show what happens when I put the image button link back without the last bracket back in, I lose most of the post.

This is the Image URL (spaces added to keep it for making a link)... @rmc51 , I think you posted the web page URL instead of the actual image URL. I had to right click the image (and either copy image URL or open in another page and then copy image URL).

There is other tricks... You can copy a picture to your computer (using Greenshot for example) and then load it at an image site like postimages(dot)org and it will give you an URL to use..  Postimage even allows one to pick the size of the image.

Click the 'quote' button on this post and examine the code.  Look for 'img' in brackets.  The first one starts the image.  The one with the '/' ends it.



The URL in between 'img' and '/img' in brackets is the URL of the RMC logo.  Note how the URL ends in 'jpeg'.  Photo URLs typically end with .jpeg or .png.  Either will work.

When you find an image that you want to paste, simply right-click on the image and select 'Copy Image Address'.  Make sure you select 'address' instead of copying the image itself.  Once you have it copied, choose the image icon above (second row, left) and then paste image address in the middle.
