Linda McMahon May Be America's Last Education Secretary

President-elect Donald Trump has reportedly named the next—and possibly the nation's last—education secretary.

According to multiple media outlets, Trump is planning to nominate Linda McMahon to lead the federal agency, which he plans to close down in one of his first moves as president.

The decision was reportedly pulled together shortly after Howard Lutnick was tapped to lead the Commerce Department, a position that McMahon was gunning for.

McMahon, who served as a co-chair of Trump's transition team, also played a role in the first Trump administration, leading the Small Business Administration from 2017 to 2019. Since leaving government, she has led the pro-Trump super PAC America First Action and served as a board chair of the America First Policy Institute, a think tank formed by Trump allies following his 2020 election loss.

She is also a major Republican donor, having donated more than $7 million to two pro-Trump super PACs during his first presidential campaign. ... Newsweek

Not only was McMahon a member on the Connecticut Board of Education, she was/is on the board of trustees for a private university for quite a few years. She has plenty of relevant experience, too relevant from a teachers union POV.
I am not and never have been a leftist.

If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

Conservatives rally behind Trump’s ‘education wrestler’ Linda McMahon
Jennifer Kabbany - College Fix Editor •November 22, 2024

There are several videos floating around X this week highlighting Linda McMahon taking and giving a few staged blows as then-World Wrestling Entertainment’s CEO under headings such as: “Behold, the new Education Secretary.”

If their aim was to embarrass McMahon, they missed the mark.

Her toughness, conservative commentators say, is exactly what is needed to reform the bloated and misguided U.S. Department of Education under President-elect Donald Trump’s directive to, if not dismantle it, then to diminish the federal power and disperse its authority to the states.

“Vanquishing Washington’s bloated education bureaucracy will be a knock-down drag-out fight that Ms. McMahon may be well-suited for,” wrote The Wall Street Journal editorial board, noting hers is “a job that will require brawling with an oversized bureaucracy, teachers unions and other special interest heavyweights.”

“The Biden Administration has effectively turned the Education Department into an arm of the teachers unions and cultural left. Ms. McMahon’s top priorities will be ending student loan write-offs, rolling back the department’s Title IX regulation, devolving school control to the states and promoting alternative education pathways,” the board wrote Nov. 21. ...
