Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has privately committed to back an effort led by Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) to block biological men from using women’s restrooms in the U.S. Capitol.

Mace announced Monday she would introduce a resolution to ban transgender women (biological men) from using biological women’s restrooms at the U.S. Capitol.

Johnson, during Tuesday morning’s weekly House Republican Conference meeting, said transgender women won’t be allowed to use women’s restrooms in the Capitol, Politico reported.

“He said there’s not going to be any biological men using our restrooms,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) told Politico.

Mace confirmed Greene’s account, telling Axios that Johnson “said to me last night that he would include it in House Rules.”

There's no avoiding the Tim McBride fight, Republicans. Either you let him into the women's bathroom and implicitly embrace the preposterous ideology of transgenderism, or you tell him he can't strut into the ladies' room, and the press calls you mean. Those are the only options.

Tim “Sarah” McBride is going to be a problem and he should be expelled from the House of Representatives.

George Santos was expelled because people felt that he lied about his background.

Tim is literally lying that he is a woman and has entered Congress for the sole purpose of promoting a transgender agenda. He has hijacked an entire district solely to push the trans community’s talking points.

Republicans should not seat him unless he agrees to drop the act and show up to work as a man.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) took a decisive step on Wednesday, announcing a new policy barring transgender women from using women’s bathrooms, locker rooms, and changing facilities within the Capitol complex.

In a public statement, Johnson confirmed the rule would apply across the Capitol, including House office buildings, changing rooms, and locker rooms. While Johnson revealed the policy in a public statement, a draft of his remarks was initially reported by The Hill. The timeline for officially publishing his comments remains unclear.

Under House rules, the Speaker has “general control” over facilities in the chamber, granting him the authority to implement the new bathroom policy. “All single-sex facilities in the Capitol and House Office Buildings — such as restrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms — are reserved for individuals of that biological sex,” Johnson stated.

“It is important to note that each Member office has its own private restroom, and unisex restrooms are available throughout the Capitol.” He continued, “Women deserve women’s only spaces.”

Simple solution, mark all the restrooms either XX or XY, and you use the one God assigned you too, not your mental illness.

Or get rid of restrooms altogether.  Set up some port-a-potties on the House floor.  That should also have the added benefit of shorter bathroom breaks and more efficient use of time.

Geez with some of the congress critters we have? Locked/ blocked doors or port a potty tipping, though the one bennefit is that the odor would get things done faster…on the house floor, I mean legislating :whistle:
