Here are the federal workers Trump should fire first

President-elect Donald Trump reportedly wants to fire thousands of federal workers. He has also suggested a cost-cutting commission led by Tesla founder Elon Musk, which presumably would include firing government employees.

There are a few they should start with to combat the weaponization of the federal government, most prominently by the Department of Justice.

Attorney General Merrick Garland, who is obviously going to be fired, oversaw a memo that encouraged federal law enforcement to treat parents and concerned citizens as criminals if they objected to racial and sexual content in classrooms and school libraries.

But he did not act alone. Rather, it is safe to assume that at least dozens of DOJ underlings helped compile the memo, including in coordination with the National School Boards Association. All must go to restore trust in the federal government.

The same goes for anyone who helped Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke target a pro-life father with an early morning raid for peaceful actions outside of an abortion facility. Ditto for anyone who slow-walked investigations into the hundreds of pro-life groups and churches that were attacked after the leaked Dobbs decision.

While Trump and Musk are searching around the Justice Department, they should also find out who decided not to charge protesters who tried to intimidate Republican-appointed Supreme Court justices outside of their houses.

They need to walk into the DOJ at 12:01p with armed agents and make everyone step away from their desk, and walk them out the door, and start investigating everyone from the top down, and only let the ones not involved in all the subversive shenanigans back in, and arrest the ones who broke the law.

Then work from there, starting with the FBI.
The Republic is lost.

Dick Levine and Mayor Buttplug have got to go.

If I were in charge... (dreamin', of course)...

Fire EVERY federal officeholder who is "fire-able".
EVERY one.
ALL of them.
From the top on down.
Regardless of political leanings.

FIRE ALL OF THEM.
CLEAN OUT YOUR DESKS AND LEAVE.

Then, declare a 30-day "federal worker holiday".

During that time, evaluate those who are worthy of bringing back, and notify them to report for work.

In the meantime, furlough all the "non-fireable" civil service workers.
Tell them to turn in any electronic devices and go home.
BUT... (and this is a big but)... notify them that while on furlough, they will continue to receive pay and benefits (while home).

Just... don't come to work.
And... let them STAY home for a while.

Now, I know what you're going to say:
"Why pay these people if they're not doing any work???"

My reply:
It's "the work" that they were doing (to us) that was so damaging to the country.
Yes, it costs us considerable $$$ to "pay them to do nothing" (for the time being).

But... even if they're getting paid to do nothing,
They're doing LESS damage to the rest of us (and to the country) than they would do if they WERE "working".

So... pay them to [not work and] "do no further damage" until we can figure out the next move.

How's that?

How about this? Musk should bring in Matt Taibbi who previously investigated government collusion and censorship at Twitter. Let's open up the books and see what we find.
