Alot of passed and we've lost contact with most, but lots of family around Ardmore, Athens, and Haleyville.

Oh..  I am envious of those of faith, and my mother was the most pious I knew.  still, my thoughts on those matters are for another thread and time.

Just voted, about a half dozen voting and small line but the fact there was that many this time of the day is a sign the vote will be heavy.

One farmer came in and presented his ID and said 'I swear I didn't come across the border last week' and got some laughs. Glad my precinct is conservative.

40-minute line to vote here in southern NH. It's not unusual to have a big turnout for a Presidential election in this state.

Purely anecdotal: I heard quite a number of (positive) Trump mentions among the people speaking while in line, but did not hear Kamala's name mentioned a single time.

Grandpa moved back down there from Iowa when Grandma died in '76, till he passed in '99. He lived down Brown's Ferry Rd a few miles from the nuke plant.

Right now, I feel like a 17 year old waiting to go out on my first date with the girl I had been eyeing for a couple of years in high school, and hoping she answers the door and I won't be disappointed.
