BREAKING: Philadelphia just dumped more ballots and McCormick's lead is still 30,000 votes.

McCormick has already declared victory. Time for networks to call it. GOP votes are outstanding.

BREAKING: Decision Desk HQ announces it is awaiting outstanding ballots from GOP-friendly Cambria County, and statewide provisional ballots, before calling the Pennsylvania Senate race.

McCormick currently leads by 0.5 points, or 31K ballots. I am suspecting the call will come as soon as DDHQ can confirm with full certainty the outstanding ballots.

Republican Dave McCormick Wins in Pennsylvania Despite Incumbent Democrat Sen. Bob Casey Refusing to Concede

Republican Dave McCormick will be the next senator from the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, even as networks refuse to call the race and incumbent Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) refuses to concede.

McCormick declared victory Thursday afternoon.

“McCormick is up 30,679 votes with more to come, as ruby red Cambria County is still outstanding,” McCormick campaign communications director Elizabeth Gregory said in a statement. “While votes continue to be counted, any way you slice it, Dave McCormick will be the next United States Senator from Pennsylvania.”

With more than 95% of the vote in, McCormick had 3,337,473 votes to Casey’s 3,306,240 — a lead of 31,233.

The Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Nevada Senate races are the only three waiting for network confirmation. In Nevada, Republican Sam Brown and incumbent Democrat Sen. Jackie Rosen (D-NV) remain in a tight battle as the race remains too close to call. And in Arizona, Republican Kari Lake and Democrat Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) await a call, although Gallego leads.

But in Pennsylvania, a path for Casey’s election to a fourth term does not exist, despite the career politician’s obstinacy.

Democrats lose two seats in Pennsylvania as chance to flip House narrows

.

Two House Democrats have been ousted by their Republican challengers in Pennsylvania, bolstering the GOP’s chances of defending its slim majority as it inches closer to the 218-seat threshold.

Republican candidate Ryan Mackenzie defeated three-term incumbent Rep. Susan Wild (D-PA) in Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District, securing a big win for Republicans. Mackenzie defeated Wild with 50.7% of the vote with more than 95% of ballots counted so far. The Associated Press called the race at 1:44 p.m. on Thursday.

The race quickly became one of the most competitive in the 2024 cycle, with Republicans pouring much of their money and resources into the district to flip in their direction. Mackenzie’s win falls in line with President-elect Donald Trump’s win in the battleground state, maintaining the district’s status as a bellwether for the presidential election. The district has chosen the winning presidential candidate for the last seven cycles.

Republicans also flipped the seat held by Rep. Matt Cartwright (D-PA) in Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District as GOP candidate Robert Bresnahan won with 51% of the vote. That race was called at 1:46 p.m. on Thursday.

Both Wild and Cartwright conceded their races earlier this week.

The results come as Republicans defended the tossup seat held by former House Freedom Caucus Chairman Scott Perry (R-PA), who narrowly defeated Democratic challenger Janelle Stelson on Thursday.

Perry defeated Stelson with 50.8% of the vote, with 99% of ballots counted. The Associated Press called the race at 1:47 p.m. EST on Thursday, two days after Election Day.

The called races put Republicans at 209 House seats so far with Democrats trailing behind at 193. Republicans are currently leading in 14 other races, which would put them well past the 218-seat threshold to secure the majority.

NBC estimated about 35,000 would vote using provisional ballots.  These would be mostly (D) and the Cambria ballots mostly (R) so McCormick has it unless we are missing something important.

With that, it appears Maricopa County has gone dark.  No ballot drops, no updates.  Richer will not be the Recorder after this, he lost his Primary election.

That won't matter much if he steals this one from Lake.

I’ll bet Casey is in shock.

Along with his bosom buddy Chuck Schumer.

Election Denier: Democrat Sen. Bob Casey Refuses to Concede Election He Lost

Sen. Bob Casey continues to deny the results of his election defeat, despite the Associated Press acknowledging Republican Dave McCormick won the critical Pennsylvania Senate race and previous statements that election deniers “should not serve in any office.”
