ABC's Jonathan Karl discusses phone call with Trump about possibly losing race

ABC's Jonathan Karl revealed on Sunday that he spoke to former President Trump on the phone earlier in the day and the president said he could lose the race.

"I asked him, is there any way you could lose?" Karl said. "He said something I've never really heard him say before, which was, 'Yeah I guess it could happen. Things happen. Bad things happen.'"

"But one thing he was upset with me about--I had pointed out that his campaign wants him to focus on a fundamental issue of the economy, the border...and he's out there talking about putting guns in Liz Cheney's face...I said he's not disciplined, he doesn't have a message, and he was upset with that. He said the weave, is what he calls it where he bounces around, is what got him elected president," Karl said.

Would Karl discuss the same things with Shamala? Of course he wouldn't, he'd say she had a strong, consistent, and focused message.

I think next year is going to be hell even if Trump wins. All the government stops were pulled to give the illusion of prosperity going into this election and the consequences are going to come due. From spending $1.9 trillion of printed/borrowed money in 2024 alone and hiring government employees in great numbers to offset the losses in the private sector. It is very unlikely to have a "soft landing" from all that.

Also, Trump said he could "end the Russian/Ukraine war in a day" if he were elected... There's going to be a lot of disappointment when he doesn't.

Remember this quote, I think this is true. We spent too many years, with too much debt, with interest rates too low. Any further dropping will get us inflation, and many people are locked into low mortgage rates. We're stuck right now, only thing to do is work our way out, if we can.
