Final Senate rankings: 5 seats most likely to flip

by Al Weaver - 11/03/24 12:00 PM ET

Two days remain until Election Day, and Republicans are aiming to take control of the Senate and expand their majority.

Democrats hold a 51-49 advantage, which Republicans have already sliced into with their pending victory in West Virginia, where GOP Gov. Jim Justice is the heavy favorite to win the seat being vacated by the retiring Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.).

That leaves Republicans needing only one more seat to win back the upper chamber, with Montana and Ohio being the prime targets.

According to Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ), the GOP has a 70 percent chance of wrestling back the Senate.

A number of battleground races have tightened to dead heats, and the performance of former President Trump and Vice President Harris could also play a role in the outcomes.

For the final time of the 2024 cycle, here are the top five seats likely to flip, not including the West Virginia seat.

Montana

I didn't see TX on the list, but keep in mind, Cruz has not received a penny from McConnell and SuperPacs. He is being grossly outspent by Schumer and Soros.

Cruz has had a battle on his hands the last couple times because the Democommies have targeted his seat.  I believe if Trump carries Texas, he will help float Cruz over the finish line.

Texas being on the border, I just cannot see them EVER voting Democommie.  Not now, not ever.

And what Democommies fail to remember, 2nd generation Hispanics overwhelmingly vote Republican.  So, their advantage transitions over time, and can only be fed with more NEW FOLKS.  If Trump gets elected, and deports the majority of Biden illegal invaders, then the snake of the Democommies will not get fed.

I do not anticipate Trump getting elected and deporting many.  The liberal corrupt courts across America will stop him in his tracks.

Heh.

What about New Mexico? Aren't they "on the border", too? How do they vote?

What about Arizona? How have they been voting all too often? (yes, I realize Mr. Trump is likely to win this time 'round and hopefully drag Kari Lake across the line with him)

What about California? 'Nuff said about that state.

(It's worthwhile to note that CA was the first state in which whites became an absolute minority -- now followed by New Mexico).

There's nothing that "insulates" Texas. Indeed, that state is "tipping in the same direction" (demographically) as have California and New Mexico before.

The writing is on the wall en Tejas. Just a matter of time.
