Trump Pledges To Name Cabinet Member Dedicated To Reducing Cost Of Living

Voters have rated the economy as their top issue for this year's presidential election.

Former President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he intends to create a new Cabinet position geared toward cutting the cost of living if elected to a second term in the White House.

He made the announcement as part of a “new step” to get “emergency price relief to all Americans” while speaking at a rally in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with less than a week to go before Election Day.

“I will create a new Cabinet position for a senior member of my administration who will be tasked exclusively with doing everything in the federal government’s power to reduce the cost of living,” Trump said.

Trump also said he would sign an executive order on “day one” that would direct every federal agency to “immediately remove every single burdensome regulation driving up the cost of goods.”

Voters have rated the economy as their top issue for this year’s presidential election, with the rising cost of groceries and inflation establishing themselves as two leading causes of concern for U.S. consumers.

Make it easier to drill for and transport crude oil, natural gas, and refined products, including export.
Get the TransAlaska pipeline operating at capacity again. (Drill ANWR, FFS)
Open up offshore leasing, and the price of oil can come down while still supporting active drilling and not collapsing the upstream end of the industry.
Refill the SPR.
Reductions in the cost of motor fuels would keep things going better here, cheaper, and there would be room for prices to come down as shipping costs declined.

I liked the idea he stated recently of no federal taxes. 

I would anticipate he will get oil flowing again.  Lower energy costs and you lower  the costs of goods.

The best way to reduce the cost of living is for government to stop spending money it doesn't have.  Government is the reason the cost of living has gone up.  Government is the one who sucked all the value out of the dollar.  Government is the reason that it now takes more dollars to purchase the same goods as before.

The time has come to end INCOME TAX, replace it with a consumption tax.   Half our population are consuming and not paying one dime in taxes.  A large number of companies pay no taxes.  I say bullsh*t on that nonsense.  It irritates me to no end to see someone on welfare with a $1,300, latest and greatest cell phone.  Clothes that cost 2x, 3x,, or 4x more than what I wear, and you know they are on the government dole.  ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!
