Some in the news industry are sounding the alarm about the prospects of another election victory for former President Trump, with one even predicting the death of the legacy media.

A report in New York Magazine's Intelligencer on Wednesday put a spotlight on the sheer panic within the media, largely focusing on the turmoil erupting at The Washington Post after its billionaire owner, Jeff Bezos, halted the paper's endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris.

More broadly, one network executive told features writer Charlotte Klein, "It's going to change everything" if Trump wins. The exec said it could signify the complete failure of the news industry.

"If half the country has decided that Trump is qualified to be president, that means they're not reading any of this media, and we’ve lost this audience completely. A Trump victory means mainstream media is dead in its current form," they said.

No one elected mainstream media.
No one voted for mainstream media.
People don't like be condescended to by MSM.
The Internet and Satellite Radio have democratized media.
People have more choice, and they are exercising their choice.

MSNBC is doing a hard sell for Harris, but some of the commentators are losing their stuff as the race narrows.  They are too close-minded to understand why people are willing to vote for Trump.  Their minds are incapable of reconciling reality with Dem talking points.

It's pointless for the unwashed deplorable Nazi garbage masses to save an alleged "democracy" that has been working against them for over 30 years.
"Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it’s entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end." - Alan Simpson, Frontline Video Interview

  • Well EXCUSE me!
If mainstream media wants to have influence they should try something new, being truthful and balanced in their reporting and clearly state when they are presenting opinion instead of simply being a mouthpiece for the democrats.

You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.
