According to a fact-check from Knewz.com, Vice President Kamala Harris has repeatedly stated a misleading claim about taxes paid by billionaires. Harris recently made it clear that tax reform is a vital piece of her agenda. “It is not right that teachers and nurses and firefighters are paying a higher tax rate than billionaires,” Harris said.

Harris' fiscal and economic agenda has largely aligned with President Joe Biden's FY 2025 budget, which includes higher taxes on businesses and high earners, as well as an expansion of the child tax credit.
