REPUBLICAN IRRATIONAL EXUBERANCE? You can feel it — Republican confidence in victory is growing. Many in the GOP, from elected officials to pundits on Twitter, believe former President Donald Trump is headed to victory, perhaps even a big victory, on Nov. 5. For weeks, Vice President Kamala Harris’s lead in national polls has been shrinking, a little bit each day, until now the two are basically tied, which some experts believe will mean a Trump win. Two new national polls out Friday morning, one from the New York Times-Siena and one from CNN, both showed Trump and Harris exactly tied, at 48% in one and 47% in the other.

If you are a Trump supporter, it appears the national polls are lining up. The same with the swing state polls. Early voting looks better for Republicans than it ever has. Trump is running a smart race. Harris has failed to offer a compelling picture of what she would do were she elected President of the United States. So the Republican optimists are not making this up.

At the same time, the polls are really, really close. Why such a high level of confidence? The reason is that recent experience suggests the Democratic candidate has to win the popular vote by a certain margin — say, 3 percentage points — in order to win the Electoral College. They can win by, say, 5 million votes in California, which juices up the national popular vote, but they’ll take home the same 54 electoral votes they would have captured if they won the state by, say, 5,000 votes.

It's not the polls that encourage me, it's the early vote. That's the Rat's work mule, and they generally are up 2-to-1 by poll day. This year in many places Reps are barely behind if not ahead.
The Republic is lost.

Or is it hopeful return to normalcy expectations?

I admit, I have felt for a long time it would be another fixed election.  But I am also experiencing the irrational exuberance, for with the news of Trump climbing in the polls ahead of Harris, if he can exceed the MOE, I say he can pull off a win.  Anything less and they steal the election again.

The thing that encourages me is seeing Republican ahead of the game for once, challenging fraud, illegalities, and other election irregularities across the country.  Challenging voter rolls.  Filing lawsuits to stop election boards from mailing out ballots to bogus addresses.  Challenging received ballots against signatures.  This is not something Republicans have ever done before.  Typically, they stand back and let Democrats steal elections just so they have something to complain about later.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

I had never contributed to the RNC until this year as I believed the RNC leadership would actually undertake these actions.

I had no reason to expect the same from the likes of Michael Steele or Ronna McDaniel
