Biden believes Trump is a ‘fascist:’ White House

.

President Joe Biden agrees with former White House chief of staff John Kelly that former President Donald Trump fits the definition of a “fascist.”

“You have heard from this president over and over again about the threats to democracy,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters Wednesday. “You have heard from the former president himself, saying that he is going to be a dictator on day one. This is him, not us.”

Jean-Pierre referenced Vice President Kamala Harris‘s remarks earlier Wednesday and Trump’s behavior before and during the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

“Do we agree about that determination? Yes, we do,” she said. “Yes, we have said, he said himself, the former president has said he is going to be the dictator on day one. We cannot ignore that. We cannot.”

Biden has previously called Trump’s political philosophy “semi-fascism.”

Jean-Pierre confirmed that Biden was “aware” of Kelly’s comments and was not surprised by them.

Walz thanks John Kelly for his ‘courage’ coming forward with alleged Trump comments

From Ross O'Keefe

Walz thanked former Trump chief of staff John Kelly for “coming forward” with comments about the former president to The Atlantic.

“For many of us, the last 24 hours have been a bit shaking with the reporting coming out in The Atlantic,” Walz said. “Donald Trump’s descension into madness…John Kelly, who I thank for showing the courage to come forward. Truly telling the world those closest to Donald Trump know how dangerous he is.”

Trump's descension into madness? This coming from an ideology that cannot define what a woman is?

Well, some of Hitler's generals were brilliant (at least early on), including Guderian, Rommel, Adolf Galland. And they followed orders to the best of their ability (Instead of calling the Kremlin and saying they'd give at least 30 minutes notice of any attack, like one general did with the Chinese.).
The guys running the death camps were the equivalent of American Lt. and Bird colonels.

So where is the beef in saying he would have had Generals like Adolf had...?

I certainly don't endorse Hitler, but he had some very capable generals.

Okey dokey...you can tell from a distance that Trump is unhinged and unstable. But you couldn't tell, after working very closely with Biden, that he had dementia??  Alrighty then.

John Kelly was so shocked at how much Trump admired Hitler that he forgot about it for 5 years and conveniently remembered 2 weeks before the election.

Got it.

I have to agree. At one time I thought Kelly was a stand up guy. Too bad for my bad judgement. **nononono*

From reply 10 above, kommieLA says:
"In just the past week, Donald Trump has repeatedly called his fellow Americans the enemy from within..."

Hey, folks.
Give the lady credit for being RIGHT about something for a change.

The leftist/communists ARE "the enemy from within".
I've been posting that they are as much in this forum for years.
Convince me I'm wrong...

The Trump-is-Hitler stuff might be more effective if a) we weren’t in the 10th year of this comparison and b) he hadn’t already been president without being Hitlery

It’s kind of ironic that the party that passed over Josh Shapiro (for pretty obvious reasons, no less) is claiming that Trump is literally Hitler.

Trump Campaign Slams Kamala Harris for ‘Dangerous Rhetoric’ After She Claimed Trump ‘Invoked Hitler’

Trump responds to ex-chief of staff after he's labeled 'authoritarian' and the 'general definition of fascist'
Former Trump chief of staff John Kelly made the remarks in an interview with The New York Times
By Ashley Carnahan Fox News
Published October 24, 2024 5:00am EDT

Former President Trump responded to his former White House chief of staff John Kelly — who in recent days said his ex-boss met the definition of a "fascist" and had an affinity for Adolf Hitler and dictators — saying he’s a "total degenerate."

"Thank you for your support against a total degenerate named John Kelly, who made up a story out of pure Trump Derangement Syndrome Hatred!" Trump wrote on his Truth Social account Wednesday. "John Kelly is a LOWLIFE, and a bad General, whose advice in the White House I no longer sought, and told him to MOVE ON!"

Kelly spoke with The New York Times earlier this week, voicing his concerns about Trump potentially returning to the White House.

He told the outlet he believed Trump met the definition of a "fascist" and would govern like a dictator if allowed.

"Certainly, the former president is in the far-right area, he’s certainly an authoritarian, admires people who are dictators — he has said that. So he certainly falls into the general definition of fascist, for sure," Kelly said. "He certainly prefers the dictator approach to government."

Democratic strategist Leslie Marshall said Kelly is respected in military and political circles, and Trump’s reaction to the retired Marine general’s remarks shouldn’t come as a surprise.

So much of what Trump says and has said is off the cuff. Certain folks jump on those asides as something he would act on. Trump may admire the discipline of an authoritarian government. And of course as a CEO you CAN be dictatorial since it's your own gig(!)  That's probably in Trump's DNA given his background.

The media used to call Kelly a liar. One example is when Kelly claimed something was said but then it was shown to be false by video evidence.  ...
