Figures reveal how much California spends on each homeless person

California spent $7.2 billion dollars on its homeless population in 2021 and 2022 -equivalent to $41,000 per vagrant. The taxpayer cash was splurged on housing and rental assistance, health outreach, case management and temporary housing for 172,000 rough sleepers.
