SAN DIEGO (Border Report) — The acting head of U.S. Customs and Border Protection visited San Diego to issue a report card on the border, detailing how fentanyl seizures are up while unlawful immigration is down by 55 percent.
Troy Miller, Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Commissioner, said the agency’s enforcement efforts are enhancing the safety and security of communities across the U.S.
During a news conference at the San Ysidro Port of Entry, he praised federal, state and local agencies who are working together to disrupt the flow of drugs into the U.S., in particular fentanyl.
