One of the migrant children was severely affected by the gas shots and couldn’t breathe, so the soldiers on the boat took him to receive medical attention.

THIS is what it's going to take to "stop the invasion" -- that is, if you really WANT it to be "stopped".

One migrant child is all it's going to take to blow this way, way out of proportion.  Likely the number of children will be increased and used as shields.
