Mount Adams is 30-50 (or more) miles from sizeable towns and cities. So "high threat" is more relative to the threat of explosion/eruption than to population centers. People living nearby should be aware, of course.
All the hurricanes and flooding we had this year and now the possibility of this volcano erupting. Not a good year for weather....and winter is just around the corner.
It's been a couple of weeks with no further news on Mt Adams activity here in the Seattle area. I missed St Helen's being in the Navy at the time but have hikes both mountains.
