Fox News is broadcasting the Al Smith dinner.

Comedian Gaffigan appears to be hosting the dinner.  Never heard of him, but he has been funny.

They just ran a tape of Kamela Harris, who did not attend the dinner.  She was nauseating. 

Trump has the cardinal sitting between him and Sen Schumer(D).

Trump is up now speaking, and he is being very gracious.

Kamala did some video with actress Molly Shannon, who was in her Catholic schoolgirl character from old Saturday Night Live skits. Didn't see it, but everyone says it was cringeworthy and unfunny.

I know the jokes were written for Trump, as he indicated, but he was absolutely hilarious.  And overly gracious, saying Schumer is a good man.  Uggh!  Right!

And he nailed the former mayor of NYC.  Made his sentiment of him clear.  I am talking about DeBlazio, perhaps one of the worst mayors of NYC of all time.  Trump was brutal in his regard.

And based on what Trump said, he delivered billions in funds for the Catholic school systems in NY.  The cardinal sat there shaking his head in agreement.  Anyone Catholic in NY that does not vote for Trump does not comprehend how strong a supporter he has been for their institutions.

Shannon and Harris were so bad, I was going to change the channel.

It is clearly evident that Harris is an atheist.  She shares no sense of supporting anything remotely related to religion.  Time for religious leaders to address this lack of character from Harris.  Just my opinion.

No wonder she so strongly supports abortion.  Being Godless, she just does not get it!!!

Great pic of DJT and Melania.  I think they were having fun.

As much as she cackles, I just do not see Kamela ever having fun.  Something off about her!

The fellow to Melania's left must have paid big bucks to sit next to her - and loved every minute of it. He was really bending her ear, during the video clip I saw.

“Disrespectful,” “wtf,” “cringeworthy,” and “historically bad” were just some of the immediate responses on X to Vice President Kamala Harris’s taped video appearance at the Al Smith Dinner on Thursday.

Former President Donald Trump was the only presidential candidate to show up at the dinner. Harris was the first Democrat candidate to skip the dinner since 1984, raising the question of why she would skip a bipartisan event as she tries to frame herself as a unity candidate.
Harris opted to just send in a pre-recorded video that turned into a skit that received almost zero laughs from the audience.

The skit, which mocked Catholics, included a Saturday Night Live comedian to fill the video’s air time:

    Comedian Molly Shannon: Maybe don’t say anything negative about Catholics.

    Harris: I would never do that, no matter where I was. That would be like criticizing Detroit in Detroit.

    Shannon: Does it bother you that that Trump guy insults you all the time? Because it really bothers my friends and me.

    Harris: Oh, Mary Catherine, it’s very important to always remember you should never let anyone tell you who you are. You tell them who you are. Haters gonna hate, hate, hate. Shake it off. Shake it off. Shake it off. Shake it off.

Former President Donald Trump flamed Vice President Kamala Harris for snubbing the Al Smith Dinner in New York City on Thursday, joking that she is “receiving communion” from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI).

Trump brought down the house with his speech at the 79th annual Al Smith Dinner to benefit Catholic charities, but Harris became the first major nominee since Walter Mondale (D) in 1984 to forgo the event.

“All polls are indicating I’m leading big with the Catholic vote, as I should be, but I don’t think Kamala has given up yet. She hasn’t. Instead of attending tonight, she’s in Michigan receiving Communion from Gretchen Whitmer,” Trump said to boisterous laughs.

His joke is in reference to the bizarre and demeaning video Whitmer participated in last week, where she placed a Dorito chip on the tongue of an influencer who was kneeling before her. Whitmer then stared unblinkingly into the camera.

After a deal of criticism toward Whitmer for seemingly mocking the sacred act of Holy Communion in Catholicism, she apologized, as Breitbart News noted.

Trump also joked that Harris would have shown up if the event were to benefit the rioters who were arrested in Minneapolis in the summer of 2020 instead of children and women in need.

“But if you really wanted Vice President Harris to accept your invitation, I guess you should have told her the funds were going to bail out the looters and riders in Minneapolis,” he joked.

Harris notably solicited donations for the Minneapolis Freedom Fund to bail out rioters in 2020.

I could not stand Molly Shannon and her Catholic girl routine on SNL when it was originally broadcast.  I just did not find it humorous then or now.

Trump must rise 3-4 more points in these tossup states, or the Democommies cheat to win.  And cheat they will.

The time has come to place severe penalties for cheating in national elections. I prefer dispatch, but I will gladly take a 20 year term being imposed on ANYONE INVOLVED with cheating on national elections, and no early release for good behavior.
