Early Voting
« on: October 16, 2024, 12:29:44 pm »
Well, early voting has started around here and the local news stated that there were more DEMS registered than GOP by over 600,000.

I don't have much hope this election.  This is going to be it, as far as voting for a different party if the DEMS get in and perhaps we will no longer even vote.  **nononono* 8888crybaby

What was that ratio like in previous elections?

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Early voting here doesn't start till oct 26th.  And voter rolls show the GOP has a 900K advantage in registered voters.

Yes  -- I corrected my original post and I apologize for the inaccurate information.  However, the local news is reporting that there are more registered DEMS then REPS in this area.  I find that troubling as this used to be a very solid red conservative area. I should take the local reporting with a grain of salt.

I wouldn’t get my hopes up, as far as this election goes, but there definitely will be future elections. The primary voters just have to be strategic, and when/if that ever happens is up in the air.  We have endured several cycles with horrible candidates.

Don't let your heart be troubled.  The good god fearing folk up here in the panhandle will negate those commie bastard voters in your area.  We are red from the Alabama border to the city limits sign of Tallahassee.

I live in a state with little to no competition for the Dems ... that may change in the next few years.

Yeah as far as local elections go we should be fine.  There will be some dem pickups in the legislature, but the majorities are solid.  The only drama surrounds the marijuana and abortion amendments, as a wrong turn on either would attract more dems to the state.

Yeah, the pro-dopers are running the hell out of their ads up here.  Not sure how the vote will go on it.  I do know up here the good ole boys seem happy to grow their own and skip the medicinal pot stores.

As far as the baby killer ads, we don't see to many ads here or in the largely vacation areas.  My guess is the are placing them in the big markets like Tampa BAy, Orlando, Miami, Jax
