The Politics of Climate Change with Dr. Judith Curry
19 hours ago Charles Rotter 23 Comments

Mike interviews Dr. Judith Curry, a prominent climate scientist, about her views on climate change, the politicization of climate science, and the challenges of transitioning to renewable energy.

Dr. Curry discusses the importance of acknowledging uncertainty in climate science, critiques the behavior of activist scientists, and emphasizes the need for a balanced approach to energy solutions that includes fossil fuels and nuclear power.

She also highlights the ethical implications of energy access for developing nations and advocates for a bottom-up approach to climate solutions.

Scientists, like all discoverers of truth, have always asked, "What?” “How?” “Why?” “What if?” and “Why not?” Questioning science is science.

...activist scientists ...

No such thing.  You're either an activist - a politically motivated provocateur - or you're a scientist.  One can, of course, be an activist in one area and a scientist in the other, but one cannot be both in the same (or even closely related) field.

What passes for science today is much like political polling, you get what you pay for.

The President of Guyana certainly gave a representative of his nation's former imperial colonial oppressors a drubbing.

If the Lymies feel so guilty, they can clawback their North Sea oil royalties and use that money to plant trees in colonies that Great Britain once de-forested, starting with Ireland and New England.

Sure, when the British Royal Navy no longer needs to deforest the Earth to build their ships, they can be smug arrogant elitist hypocritical tree huggers.  They'll need to cut down trees again to heat their homes when all fossil fuels are banished from the UK energy supply portfolio.

Go, Guyana, Go!  If British Petroleum and Royal Dutch Shell could pillage natural resources from Persia and Indonesia to enrich European imperialists, the DEI thing to do would be to leave Guyana to develop its own natural resources to benefit themselves.

Guyana, you are no longer a British Colony.  You are a free and independent developing nation on its way to becoming a global petro-power.  Tell your former colonial oppressors to go pound sand.
